Project Manager (Commercial) Location : Raleigh, NC (Hybrid – 2-3 days onsite) Schedule : Monday – Friday, 9 : 00 AM – 6 : 00 PM Pay Rate : $40–$42 / hour Contract Type : Contract-to-Hire Industry : Energy Position Overview We are seeking a Commercial Project Manager (CPM) to join a prominent energy company in Raleigh, NC.

The CPM will oversee the financial aspects of assigned projects and collaborate closely with the Technical Project Manager and cross-functional teams including Procurement, Finance, Logistics, Operations, Engineering, Tax, and Accounting.

This role requires strong communication, financial accuracy, and adherence to compliance standards.

Key Responsibilities Manage all finance-related matters of assigned projects, including Accounting, Legal, Tax, Foreign Currencies, revenue recognition, contractual invoicing, and compliance with IFRS15, local GAAP, and internal controls.

Oversee financial execution of projects, including creation of sale orders and SAP project setup, invoicing and payment terms, and maintenance of project costs, securities, taxes, and insurance requirements.

Conduct project controlling, forecasting, and reporting for a portfolio of dedicated projects.

Partner with Technical Project Managers on project steering, contract negotiations, and accounting strategies to ensure achievement of project goals (revenue, margin, SG&A, cash flow).

Prepare commercial documentation for project status meetings and maintain accuracy of financial data throughout project execution.

Qualifications Bachelor’s degree or higher in Finance, Economics, Business, Accounting, or a related financial field.

5+ years of experience as a Commercial Project Manager or in a Project Finance role.

Strong understanding of GAAP and IFRS standards.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Power BI, Power Query) and SAP.

Experience handling complex accounting topics such as revenue recognition, loss calculations, and cash position management.

Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

Ability to work independently, multitask, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Detail-oriented with a hands-on, proactive approach and collaborative mindset.
