Senior Civil Engineer / Project Manager - Water Resources

Role Description : Huitt-Zollars Inc. is seeking an experienced water resources engineer for an immediate full-time opportunity in their Austin office . Preference is a licensed engineer in the state of Texas with 20 years of experience. Experience in the Austin area is desired. The role will include providing senior oversight of a diverse range of stormwater projects and serving as a Subject Matter Expert in Fluvial Geomorphology. The position will include working collaboratively in a team environment providing engineering analysis and design for public works infrastructure and transportation projects.

Education : Bachelor's Degree in Engineering

Duties :

• Perform as a Fluvial Geomorphology Subject Matter Expert
• Perform Project Management and Task Management duties for water resources projects
• Perform business development activities
• Manage hydrologic and hydraulic studies and FEMA permitting
• Perform Quality Control reviews of a wide range of hydrology, hydraulics, scour, and geomorphic projects
• Mentor EIT, PE, and Project Management staff regarding hydrologic, hydraulic, and geomorphic theory and practice
• Conduct site visits and document findings
• Write and coordinate preparation of graphic materials for presentations and documents
