The Safety Coordinator will have primary responsibility for performing job site audits, field fleet inspections, and response to field incidents.
The Safety Coordinator will work to ensure Baker Roofing Company employees and its subcontractors are in compliance with company policy as well as all Federal, State, and Local regulations in their daily operations.
RequirementsTo perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The lists below are representative of the knowledge, skill and / or ability required. Minimum Qualifications
- Clean MVR and valid driver’s license
- OSHA 30 within 30 days of hire
- Must pass criminal background check
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- OSHA 30 preferred
- CPR / First Aid Preferred
- Ability to work at heights
- Ability to work independently
- MS Office experience
- Ability to navigate technical mobile and computer apps
- Ability to climb ladders
Essential Functions
- Daily jobsite audits
- Fleet Inspections
- Response to incidents
- Assist with employee injury / screening management
- Prepare reports of inspections and corrective measures
- Attend assigned meetings
- Assist Regional Safety Director with other duties as assigned
Physical Demands
- Must be able to work in outdoor construction environment, bend, kneel, lift, walk / stand for long periods
- Must be able to work in varying weather conditions
Work Environment
- Mostly outdoor
- Some office work
- Work from vehicle
