We are seeking a Staff Engineer (CMT Materials Engineer) to join our Charlotte, NC team! Come join us!

Job responsibilities include but are not limited to :

  • Learn the principals of soils testing in the field and in the laboratory.
  • Prepare geotechnical reports including the preparation of field logs using GINT software.
  • Support engineering staff with site layout and drilling supervision.
  • Monitor field work including the installation of deep foundation systems.

Requirements

Minimum Requirements :

  • BS in Civil Engineering.
  • 0 - 4 year of work experience in soils testing, either field or laboratory.
  • Microsoft PC applications; WORD and EXCEL,
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills;
  • Strong technical, analytical, and research skills;
  • Ability to work effectively on multiple assignments and delivering on tight deadlines;
  • Capable of working independently, under direct supervision of others, and in a team-orientated environment;
  • Valid driver’s license.
  • Ability to perform moderately strenuous tasks.
  • Commitment to safety.

Technical Requirements :

  • Responsibilities include but are not limited to :
  • Experience with soils and laboratory field work.
  • Educational experience with the principals of civil engineering.

Other miscellaneous qualities :

Ability to travel, up to 15 to 25%.
