Description : Aquionix, Inc. (Aquionix) provides environmental, health and safety consulting services to a variety of business sectors such as mining, oil and gas, manufacturing and general industry. We are seeking a full-time Senior Environmental Project Manager with 6-15 years of experience in the permitting and compliance field to join our Phoenix, Arizona office.
Essential job functions and responsibilities will include :
- Management and mentoring of a team of young Environmental Engineers and Professionals
- Preparation of various air quality permits that include Title V Permits, Construction Permits, APENs, and APEN updates
- Oversee and assist with air modeling and emission estimates using various software that include Promax and Aeromod
- Preparation of various regulatory compliance reporting related to the CWA, RCRA, SPCC / FRP, EPCRA, CERCLA, UIC, CAA
- NSPS OOOO, OOOOa and OOOOb reporting
- Related interpretation, research, regulatory liaison and reporting requirements
- Drafting stormwater management plans, SPCC plans, providing support / review of waste program / plan development
- Project management for larger clients, including invoice review and proposal development
Additional job functions and responsibilities will include :
General regulatory compliance assistance and / or auditing related to the CWA, RCRA, SPCC / FRP, EPCRA, CERCLA, UIC, CAA and related interpretation, research, regulatory liaison and reporting requirementsTechnical and regulatory research and applicability determination of various regulatory compliance-related requirementsPreparation of technical documents, including compliance procedures, plans and permit applicationsEducation : A bachelor's degree in environmental science, engineering, or a related technical field is required. Preference will be given to individuals with a PE or PG license.
Experience : The successful candidate will have :
6-15 years of applicable experience in the field of environmental compliance (water, air, waste, remediation, etc.)A well-established professional networkAbility to work independently, communicate clearly (excellent oral and writing communication skills)Strong attention to detailAbility to solve complex problems and provide creative and flexible solutionsPersonality traits to interact with a large variety of clienteleProficient skills in the use of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and OutlookFamiliarity with Sharepoint, a plusThe preferred candidate will also have experience in one or more of the following areas :
Environmental consultingReclamation (permitting)Surface and underground mining activitiesFood and beverage industryGeneral industry / manufacturingThe successful candidate must pass a criminal background check and drug and alcohol screening prior to employment.
