This Opportunity :
Certerra Western Technologies is seeking an Environmental Project Manager to manage and oversee environmental assessments, permitting and NEPA-related project reviews within our Southwest Region.
Job Requirements :
We are seeking a top-tier candidate with a bachelor's degree in environment science or related field from an accredited program and 5-10 years of applicable professional experience. A master's degree in environmental planning is preferred.
The candidate will also possess knowledge of regulations and permitting requirements for wetlands, threatened and endangered species, stormwater and erosion & sediment control, cultural resources and architectural history. Technical expertise in one or more of these fields is preferred.
Job Duties :
This position will require knowledge of the federal, state, and local permitting requirements associated with development activities in multiple market sectors including housing, educational facilities, medical facilities, transportation, and infrastructure projects in Arizona, Nevada, New Mexico, California, and Utah. The candidate will have working knowledge of the means and methods required by various local, state, and federal agencies responsible for the implementation of NEPA, including the Department of Housing and Urban Development, Department of Agriculture, Department of Health and Human Services, Department of Transportation, Federal Communications Commission, and the Bureau of Indian Affairs.
Coordinate with specialty sub-consultants, including archeologists, historians, and biologists to complete advanced level assessments in support of the overall project completion.
Regularly interface with various agencies to obtain approvals, submit permit applications and prepare responses in a timely manner.
As a key member of the team, you will promote, solicit, and develop new business while building and maintaining strong client relationships. You will communicate with clients to identify key needs, develop scopes and competitive budgets, and propose projects.
Demonstrated success by preparing competitive bid proposals and statements of qualifications to government agencies.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills complemented with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
You will work collaboratively with technical experts within the firm, as well as client representatives, legal counsel, sub-consultants, and agency representatives, as project requirements dictate.
You will mentor, develop, and guide junior staff members on project-related activities and career-advancement opportunities.

Clean driving record and capable of being insured for driving company vehicles
