Environmental Manager
We are seeking a dedicated Environmental Manager to join our team full-time at the West Transit Facility. This role is critical in developing, implementing, and overseeing a robust Environmental Management Program (EMP) and Environmental Management System (EMS). The Environmental Manager will serve as the primary point of contact for all environmental matters and will work closely with city officials to ensure compliance, sustainability, and safety across all operations. Key Responsibilities :
Develop and implement a comprehensive Environmental Management Program (EMP) and Environmental Management System (EMS).Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local environmental regulations, including FTA requirements.Perform chemical inventory tracking, data collection, and maintain environmental records.Monitor and maintain effective environmental compliance and sustainability practices.Conduct required environmental training sessions for all facility staff.Ensure environmental standards are met for all fleet vehicles, materials, and equipment.Promote and maintain a clean, safe, and environmentally responsible workplace.Act as a liaison with the City on all environmental matters related to the contract.Must demonstrate poise, tact, diplomacy and possess good judgment and discretion.24 / 7 accountability for the duties listed over the site and is expected to report, work or manage any issues outside of normal business hoursOther duties as requiredQualifications :
The Environmental Manager shall have educational environmental training and a minimum of three years' environmental experience within the last five years and training in air quality management, underground storage tank management and monitoring, hazardous materials management, and stormwater and water pollution control managementExtensive understanding of FTA, federal, state, and local regulatory compliance requirements as it relates to Air Qualify, Hazardous Materials Management, Clean Water and pollution controlExperience in developing and implementing environmental management systems such as and ISO 14001, EMP, EMS, etc. as well as policies and procedures.Ability to interpret and explain regulations to othersKnowledge of Microsoft Office applications, particularly Word and ExcelStrong written and oral communication skills; excellent presentation skillsChemical inventory, data collection, and environmental record keepingExperience in managing and developing other employeesPhysical Requirements :
