Accounting Associate
The Associate Accountant is responsible for executing transactions and maintaining records with complete accuracy of invoices, accounts payable / receivable, purchasing, and payroll. This role involves resolving accounting issues such as outstanding payments through effective communication with business managers, suppliers, and customers. The Associate Accountant must understand and adhere to the accounting policies and procedures of the corporation. Monitoring assigned activities for inaccuracies and potential fraud, and promptly reporting any suspect transactions, are key responsibilities.
Responsibilities
- Verify the accuracy of incoming and outgoing invoices and other accounting documents or records.
- Manage invoices on behalf of the company in accordance with corporate procedures.
- Handle corporate accounts payable and accounts receivable.
- Process payroll and manage employee data in ADP.
- Execute purchasing from requisition to vendor submission to receiving reconciliation.
- Reconcile various financial records.
- Compile data and prepare a variety of reports.
- Process end of month closing procedures.
- Support outsourced control functions and accounting services as needed.
- Assist with annual third-party audit / review as needed.
- Support certain onboarding and termination activities as assigned.
- Assist with activities associated with employee benefits, 401K, and corporate insurance.
- Perform other duties and reporting as assigned.
Essential Skills
Proficiency in accounting, accounts payable, and accounts receivable.Experience with invoicing and billing management.3-5+ years of accounting experience, particularly in AR / Billing and some AP experience.Competency with Sage or MAS financial software.Strong skills in general ledger, bookkeeping, data entry, reconciliation, purchase orders, payroll, and invoice processing.Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, month-end procedures, bank reconciliation, collections, payables, journal entries.Experience with ADP and Sage, preferably within the manufacturing industry.Additional Skills & Qualifications
High school diploma; US Citizen or Green Card holder for U.S. Department of State ITAR activities.Minimum 5 years of accounting experience with public and / or private companies with revenues between $20M to $200M, with 10+ years preferred.Manufacturing experience is preferred.College-level accounting coursework is preferred.Competency with MS Word, MS Excel, and Adobe Pro.Work Environment
The role is situated within an accounting team of two individuals. The position requires working with financial software and systems, and demands proficiency in various software applications. The work involves regular interaction with business managers, suppliers, and customers to resolve accounting issues. The environment supports the semiconductor industry and advanced packaging technology.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Richardson, Texas.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $28.00 / hr.
