Accounts Payable Specialist

HAZA Group has an exciting, full-time opportunity to hire an Accounts Payable Specialist! This role will perform day to day transactions including verifying, classifying, and recording accounts payable data.

Work Schedule : Monday Friday (9 : 00 am 6 : 00 pm)

Job Overview :

• Performs data entry and completes payments by processing and verifying invoices.
• Reconciles processed work by verifying entries and comparing system reports to balances.
• Generates payment to vendors on a routine schedule and matches the check with backup for review.
• Ensures utility bills are paid in a timely and accurate manner while adhering to departmental procedures.
• Reviews expense claims for correct supporting receipts and authorization.
• Develops and maintains a filing system for financial information, records, and documents to easily ensure availability.
• Ensures accounting controls are met in the accounts payable department.
• Sorts and distributes daily incoming mail and inter-company correspondence.
• Complies with federal, state, and local requirements for vendor reporting (including W-9 and 1099 reporting).
• Performs other duties as required to support the Payables Department.

Job Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• MS Dynamics GP (Great Plains) experience is a plus.
• Minimum 3 years accounts payable experience.
• Strong knowledge of Accounts Payable, filing, and data entry procedures.
• Demonstrated computer skills including a working knowledge of MS Office products, including Outlook, Excel, and Word.
• Excellent verbal and written skills with internal and external customers
• Strong ability to organize and prioritize tasks.
• Highly motivated and able to meet deadlines.
