Description : HAVEN’s Mission :
Empower survivors to heal and engage all individuals and communities to address and prevent sexual assault and intimate partner violence.
Position Summary :
- The Residential Program Director will have a depth of knowledge of trauma informed empowerment-based services for adults and children who have experienced domestic violence and / or sexual assault.
- They will manage the variety of issues that are involved in maintaining a safe, clean communal environment in an emergency shelter that operates 24 / 7 / 365.
- The Residential Program Director will divide their time between problem solving, coaching staff, and relationship building with residents, managing data and outcomes, program development and collaborating across the agency to achieve larger goals.
Pay Range : $60,000.00 to $63,000.00

Must enjoy empowering others to reconnect with their strengths and motivate them to achieve their own goals. Should enjoy working in a communal environment shared by individuals with diverse backgrounds and experiences. Should be able to maintain a positive solution focused approach and create a team that reflects that approach. Will have a focus on social justice.
Required education and experience
Bachelor's degree in social work or equivalent experience such as extensive self-led education on human service topics, deep personal experience with human service management, 5 years working in human service fields2 years of supervisory experience1-year residential experience in a communal living environmentMaster's degree preferred.Experience working with individuals of all ages that have experienced interpersonal violence and / or sexual assault.Experience working with clients from a wide variety of diverse backgroundsExperience managing the day-to-day operations of a shelter or similar environment.Prior empowerment-based case management experienceExperience creating and implementing program evaluation measuresAdditional eligibility requirements
LMSW or LPC preferredAvailable for emergent staff, client or building issues 24 / 7 / 365Must be able to lift 25lbsAbility to work a flexible schedule including some nights / weekends and occasional holidaysMust have a clear driving record and valid driver’s licenseResponsibilities : Responsible for the hiring / terminating, professional development / training, evaluation, goal setting and supervision of Residential staffEnsure the delivery of short-term empowerment-based case managementAssigns, monitors and tracks staff caseloadsIntegrate learnings from focus groups, survivor feedback and house meetings into program developmentFacilitate problem solving conflicts within shelter, providing mediation and follow up as appropriate, along with documentationBe available for staff, via phone or in person, needing consultation for high-risk situations 24 / 7 / 365Ensure appropriate staff coverageMentor student interns and volunteersConducts regular case management meetingsEnsures programming includes assisting survivors with safety planning, understanding the dynamics of IPV, healthy coping strategies, assistance in meeting basic needs, respite activities and assistance with housing, employment, transportation, legal and financial needs.Ensures children’s programing includes safety planning, healthy relationships, coping strategies, respite activities and assistance with school enrollment and homeworkAssist with ensuring proper safety and accessibility requirements are metCreate and implement a variety of program evaluation toolsDocument and compile data for and to complete shelter focused grant / funding reportsDevelop and maintain a system to ensure continual maintenance and upgrades to shelterEnsure shelter focused inspections are completed and inspection requirements are followedWorks closely with Crisis line, Resource Room and Counseling to achieve positive survivor outcomesEnsure program complies with all state, federal and grant required guidelines including food storage / preparation and sanitary conditions of the shelter.Requirements : Core Competencies

Attend monthly staff meetings, committee meetings and other meetings as required.Cooperate with all other HAVEN programs to achieve organizational goals.Strong knowledge of organizational goals, services and agency history.Inform supervisor of high-risk situations.Keep the supervisor informed of any deviations in the weekly schedule.Maintain a system to document grant funded activities.Participate in the creation and follow through of DV / SA awareness month activities.Seek opportunities to represent HAVEN in sharing skills and knowledge via submissions of journal / publication articles, workshops and presentations.Perform other responsibilities as assigned.
