HVACR Technician

Labcorp is seeking a dedicated and motivated individual to join their Maintenance / Facilities team in Tampa, FL.

The HVACR Technician will be responsible for maintaining and repairing heating, ventilation, air conditioning, and refrigeration systems in commercial buildings.

They are responsible for ensuring that these systems function properly, providing comfortable and safe indoor environments.Work Schedule : Monday - Friday 8 : 00am - 5 : 00pm, With rotating evenings and weekends for on-call purposesBenefits : Employees regularly scheduled to work 20 or more hours per week are eligible for comprehensive benefits including : Medical, Dental, Vision, Life, STD / LTD, 401(k), Paid Time Off (PTO) or Flexible Time Off (FTO), Tuition Reimbursement and Employee Stock Purchase Plan.

Job ResponsibilitiesPerform maintenance, diagnose and repair problems, and coordinate with outside contract vendorsAssist in the maintenance of building MEP systems in a large medical laboratoryWork with various MEP systems including VRF systems, air handlers, cooling towers, chillers, lower pressure boilers, humidifiers, VAV systems, air compressors, pumps, motors, exhaust fans, and refrigeration devicesMonitoring the Building Management System on a daily basis alerting management of any discrepancies Perform daily rounds to check process gases, compressed air systems, DI Water Systems, and Lab Waste SystemsRead & interpret intrepid shop drawings & control schematicsUpdate excel spread sheets, generate word documents and managing daily emails.Participate in annual safety training and earn required certifications for the positionAssist with storm weather preparation and severe weather conditions along with other trades as needed.Travel to other sites when requested by managementRequirementsHigh School Diploma or equivalentRelevant degree from a trade school is preferredPrior experience in a similar HVAC position; 3 years is preferredEPA certified Universal technician requiredBAS and CMMS systems knowledgeStrong working knowledge of electrical, mechanical and plumbing systemsStrong computer and data entry skillsExcellent communication skills; both written and oral Ability to work independently as well as in a team environmentFlexibly to travel to other locations within the regionPossess a valid driver’s licenseAbility to lift 50lbsIf you're looking for a career that offers opportunities for growth, continual development, professional challenge and the chance to make a real difference, apply today!Labcorp is proud to be an Equal Opportunity Employer : Labcorp strives for inclusion and belonging in the workforce and does not tolerate harassment or discrimination of any kind.
