Senior Administrative Support Specialist
Cherokee Insights is looking for a Senior Administrative Support Specialist that will work with the Department of State. This person will play a crucial role in providing high-level administrative support to the organization, facilitating smooth operations, and assisting executives and teams at all levels. This position requires a secret clearance and involves interaction with personnel ranging from entry-level to executives and C-Suite members. The Senior Administrative Support Specialist is responsible for monitoring workloads, managing timekeeping and travel coordination, and handling executive presentations. The ideal candidate must possess exceptional organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills, ensuring efficient and effective support to the department.

Senior Administrative Support Specialist Responsibilities Include :
Provide administrative assistance to executives and teams, including managing calendars, scheduling meetings, handling phone calls, and processing correspondence.
Act as a timekeeper for the department, tracking and recording employees' work hours and leave requests.
Monitor and manage workloads for teams and individuals, ensuring tasks are allocated efficiently and deadlines are met.
Craft effective executive summaries, reports, and presentations for decision-making and reporting purposes.
Performs other job-related duties as assigned
Active Secret Clearance
Bachelor's degree
A minimum of two (2) years of experience interacting with personnel at all levels, from entry-level to executives / C-Suite.
At least one (1) year of experience monitoring and managing the workload(s) of others.
A minimum of two (2) years of experience as a timekeeper and travel coordinator, demonstrating strong organizational and logistical skills.
Proven executive presentation experience, including writing executive summaries and creating visually compelling presentations.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (especially PowerPoint), along with familiarity with virtual meeting platforms (MS Teams, Adobe Connect, Zoom, etc.).
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of building relationships across different levels of the organization.
Strong attention to detail and the ability to handle confidential information with utmost discretion.
Demonstrated problem-solving abilities and the capacity to handle multiple tasks and priorities simultaneously.
Proactive and self-motivated, with a high level of initiative and adaptability.
A team player who can collaborate effectively with colleagues to achieve departmental goals.
