Summary :

We're seeking a dependable, experienced, and team-oriented Cook in the Sarasota, FL area to prepare meals for residents in accordance with facility menus and dietary guidelines. This role is essential in providing high-quality, nutritious meals in a clean, safe, and welcoming environment.

Responsibilities of the Cook :

Prepare and cook meals and snacks in accordance with posted menus and dietary requirements

Ensure proper portion control and food presentation

Follow food safety and sanitation guidelines at all times

Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen and equipment

Assist with receiving, storing, and rotating food and supplies

Coordinate with dietary aides and other kitchen staff for timely meal service

Adapt meals to meet the dietary needs of residents when required

Requirements of the Cook :

Prior cooking experience required (experience in healthcare or long-term care setting preferred)

Knowledge of food safety, sanitation, and portion control

Ability to read and follow recipes and production sheets

Strong communication skills and ability to work in a team

Must be reliable, organized, and able to multitask in a fast-paced environment

Weekend availability required
