Maintenance Technician

Openwork is seeking a Maintenance Technician for a manufacturing company in Greenville SC. This is a climate controlled facility with a great working environment and benefits.

Job Summary : Perform machine maintenance on machinery as well as facility maintenance.

Shift and Schedule : Hours : 5 : 30am-4 : 00pm Monday-Thursday (4 : 30am-4 : 00pm Mon-Fri during Busy seasons)

Pay : $30.00

Job Type : Temp to Hire, raise after hire.

Job Description and Requirements :

• High School diploma or higher education preferred, and Technical Certification.
• Minimum of 5 years’ experience.
• Ability to lead and work with continuous improvement team.
• Familiar with Microsoft Office and Word
• Good written and verbal communication skills.
• Ensure equipment is maintained, and appropriate supplies are inventoried and ordered as necessary.
• Ability to use basic hand tools including saws, drills, and other common tools.
• Assist other areas of facility maintenance when necessary.
• Work within a team environment to achieve the current goal for facility maintenance.
• Ability to use computer systems to use work order systems.
• Work in a safe and efficient manner.
• Good communication skills
• Trouble shoot and repair all manufacturing equipment in a timely manner to minimize downtime.
• Works collaboratively with all employees to solve problems and to ensure a quality products is produced.
• Perform preventive maintenance work when accessible.
• Operate a fork truck and other material handling equipment.
• Responsible for cleaning and maintaining workshop as well as any area that maintenance has been performed.
• Responsible for company’s tools and equipment that are provided.
