Summary :

Support a broad range of EHS programs including tracking, analyzing, and reporting safety, workers compensation, disability, and environmental data.

Implement strategies to minimize enterprise-wide costs related to worker disabilities resulting from occupational and non-occupational injuries and illnesses.

Support / develop / enhance internal and external safety and disability communications and training.

Responsibilities :

  • Ensure appropriate management of occupational and non-occupational disability claims by business units and vendors.
  • Maintain knowledge of federal and state workers’ compensation, disability, and leave regulations.
  • Work with insurers, TPAs, brokers, and other claim consultants in coordinating management of disability programs.
  • Coordinate enterprise well-being initiatives, such as those around nutrition or mental health.
  • Participate in Corporate-level and enterprise-level well-being teams and carry out projects to meet annual objectives.
  • Support the maintenance and improvement of all EHS IT systems, databases, websites, and other platforms.
  • Analyze and interpret large volumes of data while ensuring a high level of data quality. Leverage tools to develop and maintain curated data sets for use in analysis.
  • Track and analyze EHS performance data toward Achieve 2025 goals to help reinforce data-driven decisions.
  • Provide mentorship and direction to the business units over EHS management system principles and objectives, i.e., familiarity with ISO 45001 and / or ISO 45003.
  • Collaborate in the development and delivery of EHS and disability training.
  • Support other EHS department leaders in the areas of EHS compliance, loss prevention, and sustainability.

Qualifications :

  • Thorough understanding of workers’ compensation and other laws and programs governing absences and compensation.
  • Broad working knowledge of EHS regulations and related technical matters.
  • Good analytical / developer skills (Excel, Power BI, SharePoint), database skills a plus.
  • Excellent communications skills.
  • Ability to travel up to 25% of time.
  • Open to future career development opportunities within Textron business unit locations.

Education / Experience :

  • Bachelor’s degree in risk management, data analytics, occupational safety, or related.
  • Minimum 2 years’ experience with occupational and non-occupational disability claims, or data analysis focused on environmental health and safety.
