Manager, Manufacturing Operations (2nd Shift)
The Area Leader is responsible for leading, coaching and directing the activities and employees, including Team Leaders and production team members, in a specific manufacturing area within a value stream to ensure high performance and continuous improvement in the areas of safety, quality, delivery and cost.

How You'll Create Possibilities
- Supervise and provide daily work direction and support for employees
- Lead and motivate employees ensuring consistent adherence to processes
- Build and reinforce a positive culture in alignment with our GEA values
- Responsible for operational performance and improvement of key metrics
- Effectively communicate expectations and provide feedback to employees
- Oversee line staffing and allocate employees to cover absenteeism
- Supervise the daily activities of team leaders & production team members
- Oversee the daily start-up of production area
- Ensure production line boards are completed in a timely manner
- Maintain a good technical knowledge of operations
- Oversee the deployment of standardized work within the value stream operation
- Ensure adherence to Job Instruction method
- Lead work team to react aggressively to factory inefficiencies
- Support the Value Stream Leader in managing a cross-functional team
- Monitor scrap data / reports to drive resolution of scrap issues
- Partner with Plant Quality and Engineering staff to drive improvements
- Promote safety culture and ensure team's compliance with safety rules
- Lead and own accident investigation process
What You'll Bring to Our Team
BS / BA degree ideally in engineering, supply chain management or businessMinimum of 5 years of supervision within supply chainExperience in manufacturing processes with exposure to lean manufacturing techniquesSix Sigma certification preferred, with strong knowledge of LeanDemonstrated accomplishments showing results-driven methodologyDemonstrated experience working with individuals at all levels of the organizationOrganizational skills, initiative, and ability to handle multiple priorities and tasksMust be competent in computers, with emphasis on Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook, and ERP systemsWorking conditions are normal for both an office and manufacturing environment. Work may involve lifting of materials and product up to 25 pounds. Working in the manufacturing environment requires the use of safety equipment.
