This position will have direct responsibilities for developing and maintaining integrated strategies and solutions for AV Services in the global Caesars environment.
AV Services includes the following core technologies : Casino DSP solutions, Live entertainment install, AVB network deployments, Large scale video distribution deployments, AV control solutions, Wireless communications.
They will function as a member of the Infrastructure AV team to define and realize major AV deployment strategies. Duties of the position will focus on collecting requirements, developing strategies, engineering solutions, supporting new implementations, and working with other teams to ensure alignment of plans, initiatives, and services.
Additional duties will include participating in projects involving new technologies and significant enhancements to the AV Services;
facilitating, documenting, and implementing standards; and delivering consulting advice to other internal teams. This position will involve troubleshooting and problem resolution assistance while implementing new technologies.
Participation in an after-hours on-call rotation will be required.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
Responsibilities include, but may not be limited to the following :
- Responsible for the planning, implementation, and supporting of the strategic AV systems.
- Supports installation, troubleshooting, and problem determination and resolution.
- Work with other technical groups, developers and management to resolve complex business, AV system and network communication problems.
- Plan and coordinate all AV installations, changes and updates with vendors and users
- Identify reoccurring and potential operations problems. Recommend controls for prevention. Report results from technical research, system performance reports and problem resolutions to upper management.
- Recognize and identify potential areas where existing policies and procedures require change, or where new ones need to be developed, especially regarding future business expansion.
- Conducts effective cost-benefit analysis on system enhancements and improvements.
- Monitors the overall vendor performance and escalates within Caesars management as appropriate.
- Help develop and document the AV system requirements
- Expert knowledge and experience with AV system functions and capabilities.
- Develop AV system solution that meet business requirements
Conduct AV system sizing and performance analysis and document the results in system engineering reports
- Manage subcontracts for procured system components
- Support writing detailed system test procedures and system integration and test efforts.
- Document the AV system testing in detailed test reports and support sell-off to the business
- Utilize tools for troubleshooting including but not limited to specific DSP tools, various AV analyzation hardware, logs, wireshark, etc.
- Manage all DSP solutions and network audio
KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE
- Minimum 5 years work experience in AV technologies.
- Experience in tuning live and BGM music systems.
- 2-3 years of real-world experience deploying complex Audio and Video solutions with industry standard hardware.
- The ability to communicate to other technical departments that support the AV needs.
- Ability to asses current solutions and support them in order to extend the longevity of current systems.
Candidates for this engineering position should be subject matter experts with a depth of skill and knowledge of the architecture and strategic direction of AV solutions and related technologies.
Successful candidates will have interest in and a breadth of knowledge across technology disciplines and will be able to convert complex information into simple, readable form.
Candidates should possess knowledge of DSP related components (. QSYS, BSS, Peavey), knowledge of Video Distribution Hardware ad solutions including topologies, and knowledge various protocols (IP, Point to Point, vendor specific IP .
Additional skills include knowledge of Various Control solutions Crestron, AMX, QSYS etc. Experience deploying network and system management products.
