Join our top-notch, award-winning Communications Team that makes it possible. The Senior Consultant (manager) plays a key role in building engagement and developing culture among the 35,000 associates, providers and volunteers at OhioHealth.
This position manages internal communication activities for several of our central
Ohio hospitals.
The communications senior consultant develops and executes strategic internal communication plans that inform, inspire and engage key audiences as needed.
The position works closely with executives and other leaders, so a strong executive presence and reputation management skills are key.
The senior consultant also collaborates with peers in the Marketing Communications division to create integrated strategic marketing communications plans with data and measurement.
Proven success in developing and implementing effective strategic communications plans in a complex, matrixed organization is important.
Equally important are strong writing skills with an ability to engage an audience and capture their attention in creative ways.
Ability to establish and maintain relationships with both internal teammates and senior leaders is critical to achieving results and success.
A strong professional presence, results-oriented self-starter is required. This position requires an individual who is known for integrity, flexibility and energy.
This position effectively manages resources including projects, timelines and resources, as well as crisis communication activities and strategies.
While this position is not a leader of people, ability to lead through influence and mentor junior team members is required for success.
Minimum Qualifications :
Bachelor's Degree (Required)

SPECIALIZED KNOWLEDGE
- Develop and implement communications plans using data-driven strategies and analytics
- Demonstrate skills, knowledge and experience in creating and implementing strategic communication plans with a record of successful results
- Ability to develop and maintain relationships with leaders and business partners of all levels, including senior leadership (e.
g., hospital presidents)
- Lead or support crisis management
- Comfortability leading complex projects, including leading the in gray when full details and scope are not yet defined
- Ability to have crucial conversations and challenge status quo to help others think differently and come to a consensus, to move organizational goals forward
- Consistently demonstrate integrity, flexibility, energy and proactiveness
- Maintain expertise in healthcare industry as well as communications strategies, staying abreast of issues, trends and competitor strategies, and introducing best practices to OhioHealth
- 7-10+ yrs. in communications, executive communications, public relations preferably for a multi- hospital, healthcare system.
