A-CAP is a rapidly growing organization that owns and operates multiple insurance companies and ancillary insurance businesses. This opening is with the holding company, which performs asset management, actuarial, accounting, and other oversight functions on behalf of A-CAP’s insurers and third-party clients. The group provides strategic and operational support to portfolio companies, formulates investment strategies, oversees external financing and acquisitions, and supports insurer liabilities and capital modeling. Primary lines of business include traditional fixed and equity-indexed annuities, with additional business in whole life, Medicare supplement, and hospital indemnity products. A-CAP insurers originate over $2 billion of new premium annually.
About The Role
We are looking for a creative, energetic, and experienced Product Marketing Manager / Director of Annuities & Life Insurance to oversee the marketing of our carriers’ annuity and life insurance product lines in independent agent, bank, and broker-dealer distribution channels. The ideal candidate is a positive, proactive leader who thrives in a collaborative team environment and can take a concept from ideation to completion. The role requires deep understanding of fixed annuities, simplified issue life insurance products, and proven experience creating and executing engaging marketing strategies that drive growth. This position reports to the Chief Marketing Officer.
What you will do
- Product and Marketing Strategy — Develop and implement strategic marketing plans for annuity and life insurance products across independent agent, bank, and broker-dealer channels, highlighting customer benefits and positioning for growth.
- Collaborate with sales and distribution teams to position products and communicate their value proposition to customers and agents.
- Design and execute marketing campaigns across digital, print, and events; create collateral such as flyers, presentations, case studies, advertisements, social media, and digital content to communicate features and differentiators.
- Lead go-to-market strategies for new product launches and enhancements to existing products.
- Develop and manage product materials (brochures, rate sheets, product guides, competitive scorecards) and ensure they are current and distributed to stakeholders.
- Market Analysis and Insights — Conduct competitive analysis and create scorecards; perform market research to identify trends and opportunities for differentiation; analyze performance metrics and feedback to drive improvements; stay informed about industry trends and regulatory changes.
- Cross-functional Collaboration — Partner with sales and distribution teams to develop sales tools and training; coordinate with customer service and third-party administration to ensure a positive customer experience; engage with brokers and financial advisors to promote products and gather feedback.
- Regulatory and Compliance — Ensure all marketing materials comply with regulations and company policies; monitor regulatory changes and adjust strategies accordingly.
What you will need
Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, Finance, or related field; advanced degree or professional certifications (e.g., CFP, CLU) preferred5+ years of product marketing experience in insurance or financial services, with significant annuities and life insurance experiencePositive, proactive attitude with the ability to take a project from concept to realityProven success in launching and managing annuity and life insurance productsStrong understanding of product features, benefits, and market dynamics, including distribution channelsExceptional communication and presentation skillsProficiency in marketing analytics tools and data-driven decision-makingExperience working with cross-functional teams and managing multiple projects in a fast-paced environmentDetail-oriented with excellent organizational and project management skillsBenefits

Full-time. Monday through Friday, 9 : 00 a.m. to 6 : 00 p.m., 40 hours weekly, or as arranged with the department manager. US work authorization required.
