OverviewAIR is seeking a Senior Clinical Quality Measure Developer to join AIR’s Learning, Translation, and Quality Measurement Program within theHealth () .

We work to advance equitable, high-quality, affordable, patient-centered care through rigorous research, evaluation, and technical assistance that focuses on what matters most to patients, families, clinicians, and the broader healthcare community.

We have a strong focus on quality measurement to ensure patients receive safe, equitable care. We also translate research evidence to promote understanding and adoption of best practices by patients, families, caregivers, physicians, nurses, insurers, health systems leaders, and policymakers.

In addition, our expertise includes promoting evidence-based care for a range of clinical conditions; improving patient safety;

and engaging patients and family members in the delivery of care.Candidates hired for the position may work remotely within the United States (U.

S.) or from one of ourU.S. office locations. Lead in defining user requirements, designing measure test plans, and testing strategies for digital quality measurement and digital quality health related projects and tasksLead quality measure development research teamsLead and facilitate meetings with project teams and clientsPrepare concise, well written, comprehensible technical reports and manuscripts describing research findings for technical and general audiences and the client.

Provide strategic and technical expertise related to digital quality health and clinical informatics to guide business development and research agendasMentor junior staff, sharing approaches to solving concrete problems, and providing feedback on the work of others.

Clearly communicate with clients, site-base staff, and other stakeholder orally and in writing and represent AIR in a professional manner.

QualificationsEducation, Knowledge, and Experience : Bachelor’s degree and 7 years of related experience in health or nursing informatics, electronic clinical quality measurement, electronic health record systems, electronic health dataExperience working in a contract research environment or similar contract research projectsExperience using Fast Health Information Resource (FHIR), Clinical Quality Language (CQL), or Quality Data Model (QDM)Experience using eCQM tools : Measure Authoring Tool (MAT), Bonnie, MADiE, Value Set Authority Center, MMS BlueprintExperience developing and testing electronic clinical quality measuresKnowledge of clinical workflows in the hospitals or other healthcare settingsExperience working with electronic health recordsAbility to consult with clinicians, researchers and programmers to interpret clinical and technical measure requirements, specifications, and testing resultsKnowledge of Consensus Based Entity (CBE) requirements and Rule-making processesSkills : Excellent communication skills with the ability to collaborate efficiently in a virtual work environmentStrong analytical communication, critical thinking and problem-solving skills and acute attention to detailExcellent time management skills, ability to prioritize projects and to consistently meet deadlines.

Ability to work independently and in a team environment to design, analyze, and report on research projectsStrong organizational and interpersonal skills including strong communication skills with the ability to produce concise, high-level summaries and briefings.

Strong presentation, professional development delivery, and facilitation skills.Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy when writing.

Ability to mentor / teach eCQM authoring and testing skills and the quality measurement lifecycleAbility to lead teams.Ability to identify risks to projects and timelines.

Effective time management skills and ability to consistently meet deadlines.Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite or the equivalent (word processing, spreadsheets, email and calendar management, presentation software).

Excellent interpersonal skills to ensure effective communication with individuals at all levels and from diverse backgrounds.

AIR’s Total Rewards Program , is designed to reward our staff competitively and motivate them to achieve our critical mission.

This position offers an anticipated annual salary of $117,000 - $140,000. Salary offers are made based on internal equity within the institution and external equity with competitive markets.
