Description
JOB SUMMARY :
Assembles, disassembles and / or modifies aircraft components by changing, removing, replacing, or upgrading aerospace vehicle sub-components, consumables, and expendables to correct failures or implement upgrades or modifications.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES :
- Support the configuration of aircraft components and bench test equipment as required.
- Has the ability to operate shop equipment to disassemble, troubleshoot, inspect, and repair aircraft components and assemblies.
- The ability to work with structural and composite components a plus.
- Troubleshoots complex mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems to isolate mechanical or other faults and repairs faulty components.
- Performs validation and verification testing of components.
- Follows technical data, company procedures, and established industry processes to ensure contractual and regulatory compliance (e.
g., repairs, test results, applicable modifications, and inspection results).
Assists more experienced employees to understand problems; develops and sustains productive customer relationships.
Qualifications
EDUCATION :
- Must have a high school diploma, an equivalent certificate, or a bronze level WorkKeys certification.
- FAA Airframe & Powerplant license preferred.
EXPERIENCE :
- Experience with jet transport aircraft preferred.
- 0-6 months aircraft maintenance experience is preferred.
- Experience with jet transport aircraft is preferred.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain an airport security badge through the local airport authority, if applicable.
