The Role
We are looking for a Sales Executive to join our growing team in St. Petersburg, FL . You will be responsible for driving new business by selling Worklio’s platform to construction companies .
This is a consultative sales role where you’ll help owners, CFOs, and HR leaders solve industry-specific challenges such as prevailing wage compliance, union and certified payroll reporting, multi-state workers’ comp, and complex benefits administration. You won’t just close deals—you’ll play a role in shaping our sales process, influencing our go-to-market strategy, and helping Worklio expand into a vital industry segment.
Responsibilities
- Prospect, build, and manage a pipeline of construction businesses in the 50–200 employee range
- Lead consultative discovery calls with business owners, CFOs, and HR leaders
- Demonstrate how Worklio simplifies HR, Payroll, Benefits, Workers’ Comp, and compliance requirements including :
Certified payroll reporting
Union requirementsPrevailing wage lawsJob CostingUnion requirementsManage the full sales cycle, from lead generation to signed contractLeverage inbound leads and partner channels while also executing outbound strategiesCollaborate with marketing and product teams to refine messaging and align with customer needsProvide feedback to help build a repeatable and scalable sales process for future growthConsistently meet and exceed sales quotasQualifications
3+ years of B2B sales experience with a strong record of exceeding targetsBackground in HR tech, payroll, insurance, or SaaS solutions preferredExperience selling into construction or related industries strongly preferredFamiliarity with prevailing wage compliance, unions, and certified payroll reporting a strong plusAbility to navigate complex sales with multiple decision-makersExcellent communication, presentation, and relationship-building skillsSelf-driven, competitive, and passionate about customer successActive Health & Life and Property & Casualty license – or willingness to obtain theseWhy Worklio
