Job Title : Finishing Technician

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Finishing Technician who will be responsible for sanding and buffing the final product off the production line. This role includes repairing mold marks, air bubbles, damages, and other defects on the mold. The position requires the ability to lift up to 120 lbs to transport and turn over molds, as well as frequently lifting 50 lbs throughout the shift. The technician will need to be comfortable remaining stationary in a work cell for the entire shift and may use a spray gun to repair production line damage. A respirator is mandatory for this position.

Responsibilities

• Sanding and buffing fiberglass molds to ensure a high-quality finish.
• Repairing mold marks, air bubbles, damages, and other defects.
• Lifting and transporting molds weighing up to 120 lbs.
• Operating hand tools and power tools for repair and finishing tasks.
• Maintaining a stationary position within a work cell for the duration of the shift.
• Using a spray gun to repair production line damage as needed.

Work Environment

This position is based in a fiberglass plant, which may have a distinctive smell of fiberglass. The environment will be warm in the summer and slightly cooler in the winter. Employees are expected to wear appropriate safety gear, including a respirator, throughout their shifts. The position is available across two shifts, with openings in Plant 1 and Plant 2.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $18.00 / hr.
