We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Permanent Maintenance Technician to join our dedicated team in the manufacturing industry. This is a fantastic opportunity to apply your skills in a challenging and rewarding environment. As a Permanent Maintenance technician, you will be at the forefront of our operations, ensuring that our machinery and equipment are well maintained and function optimally. This role requires a hands-on approach, a keen eye for detail, and a strong commitment to safety and quality.

Responsibilities :

1. Lead and manage the maintenance team to ensure efficient and effective operations of all machinery and equipment.

2. Develop and implement preventative maintenance programs, optimizing equipment reliability and minimizing downtime.

3. Perform troubleshooting and repairs on all equipment, including mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.

4. Fabricate parts and assemblies as required to maintain equipment functionality.

5. Collaborate with the production team to identify and resolve maintenance issues, ensuring minimal disruption to production schedules.

6. Maintain accurate records of all maintenance activities, including repairs, parts replacements, and preventative maintenance.

7. Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and practices, promoting a culture of safety within the maintenance team.

8. Train and mentor maintenance team members, promoting a culture of continuous learning and improvement.

9. Participate in the planning and execution of plant improvement projects.

10. Liaise with external vendors and contractors as required, ensuring quality workmanship and timely completion of tasks.

Qualifications :

1. A minimum of 5 years of experience in a maintenance role within the manufacturing industry, preferably in a leadership position.

2. Proven experience in fabrication, electrical troubleshooting, pneumatics, repair, and mechanical maintenance.

3. Strong technical knowledge of manufacturing equipment and systems.

4. Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot complex mechanical and electrical issues.

5. Strong leadership skills, with the ability to motivate and manage a team.

6. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.

7. Strong attention to detail, with the ability to maintain accurate records.

8. A commitment to safety, with knowledge of relevant safety regulations and practices.

9. Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.

10. A relevant trade qualification or degree in engineering would be highly advantageous.
