Responsibilities

• Asset Protection : Communicate with leadership regarding encounters and investigations
• Maintain a professional relationship with local authorities and law enforcement agencies
• Collaborate with law enforcement and other local retailers to identify organized retail crime threats
• Assist leadership with cash handling and transfers
• Observe customers and associates for potential acts of theft or fraud
• Taking appropriate action to prevent theft, apprehending individuals engaged in theft activity when prevention is not effective
• Conduct surveillance and apprehension of external theft suspects in compliance with company ethical standards and apprehension guidelines
• Monitor video via CCTV and conduct on-site interviews
• Maintain all apprehension and investigation records according to company standards
• Developing and maintaining knowledge and use of CCTV surveillance equipment
• Assist in monitoring store compliance with company policies and procedures relating to theft deterrence, safety, and operational controls, as assigned by the supervisor
• Maintain a high visible deterrent to crime and positively influence the security incident rate as well as assist with inventory controls

Schedule

Ability to work nights, weekends, and / or early morning hours based on business needs. Typically scheduled 1-2 nights / week (5 : 00pm-9 : 00pm) and must be available two weekends per month, with varied shifts during business hours. Average Hours : 15-25 hours / week.

Physical Requirements

Must be able to sit, stand, bend at the waist, climb, stoop, kneel, crouch, reach, walk, push / pull, lift, talk, and hear with or without reasonable accommodation. Heavy work – exerting up to 100 pounds of force occasionally, up to 50 pounds of force frequently, and up to 20 pounds of force constantly to move objects.
