Senior Accountant, External Reporting

What does a Senior Accountant in External Reporting do?

As a Senior Accountant in External Reporting, you'll play a vital role on our SEC reporting team, aiding in the planning, development, and submission of periodic reports to the U.

S. Securities and Exchange Commission.

Your duties will encompass the quality assurance and prompt delivery of Forms 10-Q, 10-K, 8-K, and 11-K, as well as other external communications for our publicly traded, Fortune 500 company valued at $19 billion and based in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.

Moreover, you'll be responsible for ensuring that these filings are completed through a concerted effort and accompanied by thorough supporting documentation.

What you will do :

Spearhead the creation and execution of specific parts of SEC reports, ensuring accurate financials, narratives, and compliance with regulatory requirements.

Craft and scrutinize financial information for investor communications, guaranteeing precision and backing up data with comprehensive documentation.

Explore and interpret the ramifications of technical accounting matters and the requirements for SEC submissions and GAAP adherence.

Facilitate collaboration among various teams including Corporate and Business Unit Accounting, Legal, and Investor Relations, to ensure high-quality, punctual reporting.

Represent the main point of contact for external auditors during yearly audits and quarterly reviews and prepare detailed financial analyses for senior management's quarterly reviews.

What you will need to have :

A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Accounting, or an equivalent combination of education and work experience.

At least 2 years of experience specifically in accounting reporting.

Experience in financial reporting and filing requirements for SEC-regulated public companies.

Experience with contemporary accounting and financial reporting issues, adhering to U.S. GAAP and SEC regulations.

What would be great to have :

CPA license.

Previous experience working with Workiva, SAP, BPC consolidation tool, or other financial reporting systems.

Experience with a large public accounting firm (audit background) and / or large public company SEC reporting.

This role is not eligible to be performed in Colorado, California, District of Columbia, Hawaii, New York or Washington.
