Maintenance Technician
Job Description
JOB SUMMARY : Responsible, in conjunction with the Sr. Facilities Director, for the maintenance of the Easton Branch.
JOB FUNCTIONS :
- PROGRAM / DEPARTMENT RESPONSIBILITIES
- Maintain the safety, security and cleanliness of all buildings and grounds
- Schedule appointments with various vendors on an as needed basis
- Respond to emergency situations in support / collaboration, with Sr. Facilities Director
- Flexible hours and on-call
- Reports any safety / health concerns to Sr. Facilities Director / Executive Director
- Professionalism at all times with families and mindfulness of boundaries
- Daily check of maintenance logs at all buildings
- Ability to prioritize needs
- Quarterly maintenance report
- Other duties as assigned by Sr. Director / Director.
- SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES : n / a
- FISCAL RESPONSIBILITIES :
- Credit Card / Expense Report
- Ability to get the best price for products / vendor services
- Preventative Maintenance
- FACILITY / HOUSEKEEPING RESPONSIBILITIES :
- Monitor the upkeep of major appliances.
- Purchase needed supplies
- Room readiness-painting, set-up, etc.
- Moves
- Landscape cleanliness standards
- Maintain a healthy living environment
- INTERDIVISIONAL / COMMUNITY / VOLUNTEER RESPONSIBILITIES :
- Provide support for other programs of the Old Colony Y on an as needed basis.
Requirements
EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE / PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS :
- High school graduate.
- Valid Driver’s License
- Knowledge of basic maintenance requirements
- Able to lift 50 pounds
- Able to do three flights of stairs
- Must be able to walk, stand, bend and stoop
- Shoveling to accommodate needs
