Solutions Architect - Oracle Fusion
Pay range : USD $144,000 – $181,000 yearly. Base pay will be determined based on location, skills and experience.

Mattel is looking for a Lead Oracle Financials IT Solution Architect with a functional / technical architecture skill set to design, solution, implement, and optimize our Oracle Cloud Fusion applications ecosystem. The ideal candidate will join the Global Technology Organization (GTO) Corporate Systems Applications group that supports Finance, Legal and Human Resource functions. The group is migrating from Oracle eBusiness Suite to Oracle Cloud Fusion, and the architect will bring best practices to the migration, deep knowledge of Oracle Cloud Fusion, integration technologies, cloud architecture, and the various business processes such as Order to Cash, Record to Report, Requisition to Pay, Acquire to Retire, Plan to Perform, Projects to Result and related inter‑dependencies.
What Your Impact Will Be
- Support the Oracle system architecture of the migration from Oracle Financials EBS to Oracle Cloud Fusion
- Demonstrated Oracle Accounting Hub experience
- Support the enterprise design and integration solutions between Oracle Cloud Fusion applications and other enterprise systems
- Provide technical leadership and guidance to development teams throughout the project lifecycle
- Ensure scalability, performance, and security of Oracle Cloud Fusion implementations
- Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into technical specifications
- Conduct regular architecture reviews and propose improvements to existing systems
- Stay current with Oracle Cloud Fusion updates and new features, recommending adoptions when beneficial
- Bring expertise, knowledge and experience to the Corporate Applications team as a senior Oracle cloud system expert with leadership and drive, interfacing with IT peers and business users
- Work with internal customers, external consultants and vendors to support project and operational tasks within Oracle Cloud Financials
- Understand business problems and opportunities and architect solutions to enable the organization to achieve its goals
Create and maintain documents showing recommended solutions, including :
Functional Design DocumentsTechnical Design DocumentsDetailed Design DocumentsDeveloping current state / to be process flowsEtc.Interact with Mattel application leads, Mattel business leads, third‑party application partners, and Mattel Consulting Partners to understand and analyze functional and technical requirementsLead design discussion sessions with IT and business resourcesCommunicate core application functionality and change impacts clearlyConduct and participate in code review sessions for team deliverables as neededGuide team members involved in development and unit testingProvide written and verbal status to management weekly and as requestedTroubleshoot critical issues in development, staging or production environmentsSupport go‑live preparation, and production rollout activitiesSupport business‑driven projects that integrate with both in‑house systems and cloud‑based SaaS solutionsWhat We’re Looking For
Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related field7+ years of Oracle Fusion Cloud Financials experience as a solutions architect, with at least 3 years architecting for Oracle Cloud FusionDeep functional and technical understanding of Oracle ERP Financials from a global perspective – multiple OUs, global and local COAs, ledgers, etc., and expertise in Oracle cloud functional processes of Record to Report, Order to Cash, Requisition to Pay, Plan to Perform, Projects to Result, and Acquire to RetireExpertise in Oracle technologies such as Oracle Integration Cloud, Web Services, OCI, DBCSParticipation in at least two full‑life‑cycle Oracle ERP Financials migrations for global organizationsExperience with Oracle localizations and globalizationsAbility to work with Oracle Solution architects of a Big‑4 consulting firm to prepare the client to take over and support large‑scale Oracle cloud projectsProficiency in cloud architecture principles and best practicesAbility to lead design discussions with IT and business teams and communicate current application functionality and impact of design changesInterpret and transform information based on business requirements and provide data for delivery teamsProactively seek opportunities for simplification, application rationalization, and continuous improvementExcellent critical thinking skills to address and resolve business issuesAbility to communicate effectively with all levels of users and IT / Business leadershipPlan and organize tasks, report progress, and manage and coordinate with project consultants and Mattel resourcesAbility to work with production support teams to manage issues and develop enhancement opportunitiesAbility to work with multiple departments to document and validate current state business processesUnderstand and modify application configuration as required (system setups, flex‑fields, workflow builder, custom library, profile options, etc.)Experience with SOX system implementations, interacting with internal audit to satisfy requirementsOracle Cloud certificationsDemonstrated growth mindset by staying curious, learning continuously, embracing challenges, and improving oneselfThis range is indicative of projected hiring range, but annual base salary will be determined based on location, skills and experience.
