Good Shepherd Hospice is seeking a compassionate Social Worker to serve our patients and their families in Olathe and surrounding communities.
The Hospice Social Worker provides medical social services to patients and their families, working as a member of the interdisciplinary hospice team.
Key Responsibilities
- Assessing Significant Social and Emotional Factors for Patients and Families
- Helping Patients and Family to Understand, Accept and Follow Care Plan
- Use All Available Means to Help Patients and Family To Live Better Within Illness Limitations
- Participates in Ongoing Educational Programs and Special Projects
- Supports Staff with Loss and Patient / Family Issues
Skills Knowledge and Expertise
- Education : Master’s Degree in Social Work from an Accredited School
- Licensure : Current state license as a social worker
