Our client, a well-established local company in Honolulu, is seeking a detail-oriented Payroll Assistant to join their team. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working with numbers, ensuring accuracy, and supporting payroll operations for a growing workforce.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with the processing of payroll for hourly and salaried employees
- Review and verify timesheets, attendance records, and pay adjustments
- Maintain and update payroll records in compliance with company policies and applicable laws
- Respond to employee inquiries regarding pay, deductions, and benefits in a timely and professional manner
- Support payroll reporting, audits, and reconciliations as needed
- Collaborate with HR and Accounting departments to ensure smooth payroll operations
Qualifications
Previous experience in payroll, accounting, or related administrative work preferredFamiliarity with payroll software and timekeeping systems (e.g., ADP, Paylocity, or similar) is a plusStrong attention to detail, accuracy, and confidentialityExcellent organizational and communication skillsProficiency in Microsoft Excel and other basic office applications
