Our client is a stable and growing electrical contractor looking to add an Electrical Senior CAD Designer to their team.
The client, is a local electrical contractor who performs a lot of work on a Design / Build basis. They have an excellent Reputation
They are looking for a Senior CAD Designer to lead their growing department.
This person will be required to provide mentorship and coaching for a junior team member.
Senior CAD Designer Responsibilities :
- Create structural BIM models and construction documents for a variety of building types using AutoCad with larger project being modeled in Revit, including commercial and industrial construction
- Create model views, building plans and layouts, sketches, and construction details
- Coordinates with structural engineers to gather building dimensions, drawing requirements, structural details, and drawing markups
- Excellent communications skills are required.
- Candidate should have the ability to understand architectural, mechanical, electrical, structural, and civil drawings, as well as related specifications.
- Familiarity with electrical construction means and methods.
- Experienced in the production of design documents, fabrication drawings, or design detail drawings as it relates to both design professionals and trade contractors in Revit and AutoCAD platforms.
- Experience with AutoCAD and Revit are preferred.
Strong computer, technical, and communications skills are essential and required.
Senior CAD Designer Qualifications :
- 5+ years of experience with Auto CAD and Revit
- Associate degree in Engineering, Architecture, Drafting or similar
- In-depth knowledge of Revit, Navisworks, AutoCad
