Business Development Officer Commercial Banking
Sources and develops new Commercial Banking business for the bank in assigned sales territory. Analyzes needs of prospects and provides information about Bank products and services that can enhance prospect's financial position. Follows Bank segmentation policy and collaborates with the appropriate Relationship Managers and Team Leaders when closing deals. Interacts with Bank colleagues to discuss prospects / referrals and formulates and leads sales strategies. Documents all sales activity and key market data that results from these activities in the appropriate system of record and provides accurate reporting to management in a timely manner.
Performs prospect development activities in an assigned territory that targets the commercial banking business segment, defined as companies with annual revenues of $40MM to $500MM, to achieve specific acquisition goals assigned by management. Sources new opportunities with prospective clients through a multi-channel outbound sales effort, and then engages relationship managers, leadership, and product partners early in the sales process to facilitate analysis, wholesome wallet share capture and closing. Multi-channel outbound sales efforts to include but not limited to : calling, emails, in-person visits, events, and centers of influence. Records all sales activities and key prospect information that is generated through daily outbound sales interactions in the designated system of record (SalesForce). Works with management to plan business development opportunities and strategies and takes an active role in leading the execution of sales strategies. Refers opportunities to the appropriate team within CNB or RBC according to segmentation and business practices guidelines.

Compensation : Starting base salary : $122,535 - $208,715 per year. Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, and location. This job is eligible for bonus and / or commissions.
