Purpose
This position will be mainly responsible for animal management and neuronal culture.
Responsibilities
Supports animal management and experiments, including animal breeding, genotyping, surgery, post-operative monitoring, and behavioral studies.
Performs cell culture work, including primary neuronal culturing.
Manages lab operations, including organizing lab meetings, ordering supplies, coordinating lab cleaning, and ensuring smooth lab operations in compliance with relevant safety regulations and guideline (depending on needs).
Performs molecular engineering work, including doing maxiprep of DNA plasmids (depending on needs).
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree with two years of experience or Master's degree.
Preferred Qualifications
Knowledge / degree in neuroscience or biomedical field
Experience in animal works related to brain / nervous system.
Experience in primary neuronal culture
Salary Range
$45,000 - $65,000
Working Conditions
Uniforms and / or personal protection equipment (furnished).
May work around chemical fumes.
