Citadel Outlets strives to ensure visitors experience a 5-star shopping experience. The number one outlet center in the LA area is hiring a Graveyard Safety and Security Supervisor to provide exceptional leadership and direction to staff and customers.

The ideal candidate will provide assistance to the Security Leadership Team in planning, directing and reviewing the activities and operations of the security department and projects.

Must be available to work weekends and holidays.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Assists the Security Leadership Team in directing, overseeing and participating in the development of the center's security work plan;

assigns work activities, projects and programs; monitors workflow; reviews and evaluates work performed, methods and procedures.

Assists the Security Leadership Team in the preparation of performance plans and appraisals.

Confers with the Security Leadership Team, General Manager, staff and merchants on security issues within the center; assists the Security Leadership Team in planning and implementing security and center goals and objectives;

recommends and administers policies and procedures.

Assists the Security Leadership Team in hiring, training, motivating and evaluating personnel; provides or coordinates staff training;

works with employees to correct deficiencies; assists the Security Leadership Team in implementing discipline and termination procedures.

  • Works directly with the Security Leadership Team on all corporate and security policies and procedures that pertain to the center.
  • Monitors and tracks all calls for service at the center and maintains and administers statistical reports to the Security Leadership Team.
  • Ensures that the Security Leadership Team and General Manager are notified on all Incidents that occur at the center through the use of a Daily Security Activity Report.
  • Assists the Security Leadership Team in establishing a working relationship with local police and developing a Community Policing Plan for the center.
  • Assists the Security Leadership Team in the implementation of an Emergency Preparedness Program for the center.
  • Responds to incidents and provides supervision and oversight when appropriate.
  • Reviews, scans and files all Officer Daily Activity Reports and security departmental reports.
  • Fills-in and works various shifts in place of security officers who are on vacation or out sick.
  • Acts as the Security Supervisor in the event of his / her absence.
  • Performs special projects or other duties as assigned.

EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE

  • High school diploma or general equivalency diploma (G.E.D.)
  • Must have included one year of security lead experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the job as listed above.

CERTIFICATES and / or LICENSES

  • Driver's License
  • Active Guard Card

  • Ability to communicate and effectively interact with co-workers, managers, subordinates and the general public sufficiently to exchange or convey information and to give and receive work direction.
  • Ability to interpret, apply and explain codes, regulations and procedures.
  • Ability to effectively respond to issues both verbally and in writing.
  • Ability to motivate employees to take desired action.
  • Requires a high level of commitment to customer service.

REASONING ABILITY

  • Ability to identify and analyze problems with limited information, and then recommend a resolution.
  • Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram or schedule form.

OTHER SKILLS and / or ABILITIES

  • Demonstrated ability to work well in a timely manner with a proactive approach to unusual occurrences.
  • Must be able to work independently and take initiative.
  • Requires good organizational and leadership skills, attention to detail and openness to new ideas and procedures.
