Location : Tulsa, OK
Setting : Hospital
Shift : Day shifts
Essential Duties :
- Reviews, processes, and dispenses physician medication orders and prescriptions.
- Prepares and supervises the preparation of IV admixtures and chemotherapy.
- Provides therapeutic drug monitoring consultation, including determination of appropriate loading dose, maintenance dose, and predicted blood levels based on patient-specific parameters and disease process.
- Maintains routine workflow, integrates non-routine work, and relays information as necessary to the oncoming shift.
- Consistently monitors and follows up with unresolved medication order issues.
- Monitors lab orders and department messages and follows up as needed.
- Properly document clinical interventions in the EHR system using theprovided guidelines.
- Knowledge and experience with Pyxis and other electronic Med stations.
- Monitors and supervises Technician activity and checks all medications before being filled into Med Stations.
- Maintains all emergency drugs during the shift.
Qualifications, Skills, and Experience :
- BS in Pharmacy or PharmD.
- One year of experience in an inpatient pharmacy.
- Active Oklahoma Pharmacist License.
