Oxford Solutions is recruiting for a Senior Payroll Manager to join an international law firm that provides innovative legal solutions to many of the world's leading financial institutions and Fortune Global 500 companies. This position requires a highly experienced payroll professional to oversee all U.S. payroll operations in a complex, multi-jurisdiction environment.
The Senior Payroll Manager is responsible for ensuring payroll accuracy, compliance, and efficiency, while leading a team and collaborating with cross-functional departments to support firm-wide compensation initiatives.
Responsibilities
- Oversee and manage payroll processing across all U.S. offices, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and full compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.
- Manage complex compensation structures, including bonuses, overtime, and special payments for attorneys and professional staff.
- Ensure payroll tax filings and reporting are accurate and completed on time.
- Supervise and develop payroll team members, promoting professional growth and high performance.
- Recommend process improvements and software enhancements to optimize payroll operations.
- Ensure compliance with wage and hour laws, tax regulations, and internal policies.
- Partner with internal and external auditors to maintain audit readiness.
- Collaborate with HR, Finance, and Benefits teams to align payroll with compensation and benefit programs.
- Provide payroll reporting and analytics to support leadership and financial planning.
- Maintain strict confidentiality and data integrity in all payroll processes.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field.8-10+ years of progressive payroll experience, including 3-5 years in a management role.Experience with multi-state payroll in a large, multi-office organization; professional services or law firm experience preferred.CPP certification preferred.Expertise in payroll regulations, wage and hour laws, and compliance practices.Proficiency with payroll systems such as ADP, Workday, or UKG; experience with Workday Payroll Integration a plus.Advanced Excel and Microsoft Office skills.Strong leadership, analytical, and communication abilities.High attention to detail, confidentiality, and a commitment to accuracy and service excellence.Senior Payroll Manager - 25-00715
