Director, Us Operations
The Director of US Operations will play a key leadership role in overseeing and optimizing the day-to-day operations of our U.S. business. This role combines strategy, execution, and team leadership to ensure operational excellence, scalability, and cross-functional alignment. You'll partner with teams across sales, customer success, engineering, product, marketing, and finance to ensure our operations are built for growth and delivering exceptional customer outcomes.
You are an operator at your core who is excited to build and lead best-in-class strategic operations. You should have deep experience across the operations flywheel, having supported product development, execution, account management, finance, and project execution. Our ideal candidate is an owner with a "roll-up-your-sleeves" mentality, excited to build systems that will allow us to achieve scalable, sustainable success. This role has a broad scope and will interface directly with executive leadership.
Responsibilities and Duties
- Build and manage a high-performing US operations team, managing the day-to-day operations to include program execution, contracts, and supply chain.
- Partner with Finance and Executive leadership on budgeting, forecasting, and resource planning to support U.S. operations.
- Develop and execute strategies to streamline business operations, improve scalability, and enhance overall efficiency across the U.S. market.
- Support the development of operational programs that enhance customer satisfaction and partner performance in the U.S.
- Partner with business leadership to identify and assess short- and long-term operational needs for strategic growth; contribute to strategic planning activities and OKR management for critical go-to-market initiatives spanning engineering, product and customer success.
- Collaborate with sales and BD on key accounts, supporting a company wide view of US accounts.
- Standardize internal processes and help define playbooks for business-critical operations (e.g., lead routing, customer onboarding, partnership enablement, pricing models and / or monetization strategy).
Qualifications and Skills
10 or more years of product and program management experience, ideally on an international scale.Substantial experience developing commercial systems with applicability to defense applications.Experience in managing teams supporting US government contract execution.Proven experience liaising with development teams, finance and sales to bridge the GTM gap.Strong interpersonal and cross-cultural skills; demonstrated ability to exercise sound judgment related to controversial or sensitive subjects; ability to handle confidential information with tact and poiseAbility to travel between 20% of the time, both internationally and domesticallyExperience within the Aerospace or Defense industriesActive U.S. Security Clearance or ability to obtain clearanceBenefits
