PRIMARY PURPOSE
Responsible for posting, documenting, and scheduling of all assigned surgical procedures, according to established guidelines and policies.
MINIMUM SPECIFICATIONS
Experience :
Must have five years of applicable experience in an Operative Suite environment.
Equivalent Experience :
May have an equivalent combination of education and experience in lieu of specific experience as stated above.
Certification / Registration / Licensure :
None.
Skills or Special Abilities :
- Must be able to demonstrate competency with medical terminology, case scheduling, coding, and billing practices.
- Must be able to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing with all levels of healthcare staff.
- Must be able to demonstrate knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and surgical procedure requirements.
- Must be able to demonstrate patient centered / patient valued care.
