HotFoot Recruiters is seeking a skilled Mechanical Graduate Engineer / Plumbing Systems Designer to join a high-performing design team supporting commercial, institutional, and specialty construction projects. This role is perfect for a technically strong professional who enjoys collaborating with multidisciplinary teams and leading complex MEP design efforts from concept through construction.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design and coordination of mechanical and plumbing systems across multiple building types.
• Produce accurate drawings and specifications using Revit and AutoCAD, ensuring compliance with project requirements and all applicable codes (ASHRAE, NFPA, LEED, IBC).
• Collaborate with architects, engineers, clients, and contractors to gather technical input and present system recommendations.
• Perform load calculations and layout mechanical equipment using tools like Trane Trace.
• Develop narratives and documentation to support design decisions and project objectives.
• Review and respond to submittals and RFIs, and provide support during construction administration.
• Mentor junior design staff and provide direction on technical tasks and deliverables.
• Stay current with product innovations and industry trends through coordination with manufacturers and vendors.
