Job Title : Payroll Specialist / HR CoordinatorJob Description
A mid-sized manufacturing firm in South Seattle is seeking a Payroll Specialist / HR Coordinator for a 6-month temporary-to-hire position. This role involves supporting human resource programs and handling payroll processing for approximately 100 employees. The position requires a background check.
Responsibilities
Assist in administering and executing human resource programs including compensation, benefits, leave, productivity, recognition, morale, occupational health and safety, and training and development.
Ensure accurate processing and record-keeping for health and welfare plans and payroll.
Coordinate, plan, and implement company events.
Support accounting books and records.
Assist with weekly payroll processing for 100 employees.
Provide coordination and support for ad hoc projects as assigned.
Essential Skills
1-2 years of experience in payroll or HR coordination.
Excellent attention to detail and critical thinking skills.
Ability to prioritize tasks and work well under pressure.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
Experience with Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent required; BA or AA preferred.
Prior experience in accounting and human resources is preferred but not required.
Experience with data entry and Visual Manufacturing is a plus.
Adaptability, self-motivation, and problem-solving abilities.
Work Environment
This role is based in a manufacturing and machine shop setting. The work environment is collaborative and team-oriented, requiring adherence to safety and compliance standards. Free parking is available onsite. Integrity and confidentiality are crucial, as the role involves handling personal and company data.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Seattle, WA.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $33.00 / hr.
