Cybersecurity Engineer III

We are on the lookout for a skilled cybersecurity professional who is ready to make a significant impact on our cybersecurity operations. In this vital role, you will be engaged in essential tasks such as system hardening, vulnerability assessment, and security compliance aligned with DoD requirements.

The ideal candidate will have a comprehensive background in cybersecurity practices and demonstrated proficiency in supporting Linux and Windows environments within DoD networks. You will collaborate with various teams including Blue Team and Red Team to enhance overall cyber readiness and system accreditation efforts.

Note : This position is contingent upon the award of a contract, anticipated in December of 2025.

Clearance : An ACTIVE Secret clearance (IT Level II Tier 5 / Special-Sensitive Position) is required for this role. Selected applicants will be subject to a security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. US Citizenship is mandatory for obtaining a clearance.

Requirements :

• Deep understanding of computer security, military system specifications, and DoD cybersecurity policies.
• Strong communication skills for clear written and oral presentations.
• Must possess one of the following DoD 8570.01-M IAT Level III baseline certifications :
• CASP+ CE
• CCNP Security
• CISA
• CISSP (Associate)
• CISSP
• GCED
• GCIH
• CCSP

Preferred Skills and Experience :

A cumulative total of ten (10) years of professional experience across the following areas :

Education : Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Information Technology, Computer Science, or Computer Engineering.

Compensation : Compensation at SimVentions is based on multiple factors including experience, education, training, security clearance, work location, skills, and alignment with our corporate compensation structure. The projected annual compensation range for this position is $90,000 - $160,000 (USD).
