EVS (Full-time, Evening Shift) -

The Supervisor- Environmental Services (EVS) is responsible for the daily operations of the housekeeping staff, cleanliness of the facility and quality assurance of assigned areas.
Responds to telephone and written requests from hospital departments by dispatching appropriate personnel. Oversees the training new employees, scheduling, and supervising to ensure staff is working at the level of expectation.
Performs other duties as needed.
High School Diploma or GED required. Minimum three years of housekeeping experience in a hospital environment required. Minimum one year supervisory experience required.
Ability to perform departmental task assignments within all areas of the hospital. Knowledge of proper use of housekeeping equipment required.
Knowledge of the Joint Commission, Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS), Occupations Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) and other regulatory agencies preferred.
Bilingual (English / Spanish) preferred. Able to properly use carpet or furniture extractor, floor buffer, vacuums, buckets, wringers, dust mops, dusting equipment, step ladders, cleaning carts, and sprays bottles.
Knowledge of folding technique and proper documentation. Able to read; write legibly; speak in English with professional quality;
use computer, printer, and software programs necessary to the position. Operate and troubleshoot basic office equipment required for the position.
