This Business Development Manager will focus on research, development, presentation, delivery and management of community outreach programs and activities & marketing strategies to support the D-SNP (Dual Special Needs Plan) business and drive membership growth. This Manager will also partner with key internal and external strategic partners to achieve assigned sales targets. They will translate market strategies into specific tactics with measurable goals.

Primary Responsibilities :
Actively develop, maintain, and grow productive relationships with key, local entities, and stakeholder groups to address community health issues within the D-SNP populationProvide guidance to the Sales and Marketing Director on the development of market engagement initiatives with local and state agencies, community-based organizations, faith-based organizations, provider groups and associations and other opinion leadersLead in-market implementation of all market engagement initiatives and eventsEngage market organizations and groups to achieve greater collective impact of UnitedHealthcare's mission and efforts to develop and support community health partnershipsSupport the design and implementation of pilot projects and investments that support innovative programming and align with the state's priority areasEnsure compliance with state and municipal laws, rules, and guidelines for marketing and outreachDevelop strategies and tactical plans to support consumer / member innovation and gain strategic insight into the needs, expectations, and concerns of membersMake recommendations to leadership regarding funding for market engagement efforts, special projects, and subsequently, manage the end-to-end grant process for the local granteeCollaborate with internal staff by facilitating the planning and hosting of events with targeted stakeholdersRepresent UnitedHealthcare at association meetings, conferences, forums, coalition meetings, workgroups, and steering committeesEstablish appropriate collaboration meetings on strategies that align business segments and promote unified messaging and approaches to serving the communityMarket engagement, community outreach and marketing within the state that will differentiate UHC from competitorsMaintain relevant work and critical documents on SharePoint sites, including regular reporting of activitiesDemonstrated Skills :

2+ years of Medicaid and / or Medicare sales experience2+ years of community outreach experience developing and organizing marketing or community outreach eventsHealth and accident producer license or ability to obtain it in 60 DaysAbility to travel locally 75% of the time in Boston, MAValid driver's license, good driving history, reliable transportation, and current automobile insuranceAbility to work nights and / or weekends for eventsPreferred Qualifications :
