Store Ambassador
We're seeking a Store Ambassador to join our team to assist with asset protection. By staying aware of store surroundings, this role will help the Store Manager prevent losses. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following :
- Greet and help customers in a warm, approachable manner, maintaining a strong company image within the community
- Assist the Store Manager in maintaining standards of safety and control, including tagging merchandise, assisting with the check in of DSD vendors, and reporting observations
- Report any suspicious activity to the Store Manager, document observations of transactions and store activity and any incidents that occur
- Conduct daily inspections, including audits of shrink reduction initiatives and safety standards
- Partner with Store Manager to check in deliveries and monitor security systems
- Monitor Fire and ADA safety requirements, and address EAS alarms while following company procedures
- Ensure a positive, safe, and respectful environment while maintaining professional and friendly interactions with customers, associates, and leaders
- Protect and secure all company assets
- Complete bag checks, including in-store returns, as directed
- Participate in ongoing training and development to increase job knowledge and skills
- Communicate feedback to the District Manager, Regional Asset Protection Manager, or Market Investigator
Skills and Experience :
Loss Prevention experience is requiredPrevious customer service experience in retail, hotel, restaurant, grocery or drug store environment is preferredExcellent reading comprehension skills are requiredHigh school diploma or equivalent is preferredMust have a valid Driver's License and be able to travel locally as needed and scheduledMust be capable of regularly lifting up to 40 lbs. (occasionally 55 lbs.) from floor level to above shoulder heightAbility to handle frequent walking, standing, stooping, kneeling, climbing, pushing, pulling, and repetitive lifting (with or without reasonable accommodation)Excellent customer service and relationship management skills are requiredStrong organizational and communication skills are requiredStrong problem-solving and decision-making skills are requiredPerks and Benefits :
