Junior Estimator (Greenville)

About the Role

Youll be an early-career member of the estimating team, learning how to create cost estimates for commercial, medical, office, and other types of construction projects. This role is perfect if youve just completed a degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Architecture, or similar, and want to grow into an estimator role with hands-on experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in preparing detailed estimates : material take-offs, labour, equipment, subcontractor quotes.
• Work with senior estimators to review project plans and specifications.
• Research and source pricing for resources in your region including subcontractors, suppliers, and material markets.
• Support the development of bid packages.
• Help with value engineering : identify cost savings without sacrificing quality.
• Maintain an up-to-date cost database.
• Track historical costs and assist in analyzing discrepancies.
• Coordinate with other teams (project management, procurement, field) to gather needed input for estimates.
• Learn and use estimating software and tools.
• Presentation support : prepare estimate summaries and assist in bid proposals.
