Operator II, Mail Finishing – Night Shift

• This is a 12 hour Shift working 5pm - 5am with rotating weekends
• Summary / Objective :
• Responsible for individual activities related to cutting and folding direct mail pieces.  Job Functions : Operating and setting up Tecnau & Hunkeler finishing lines.  Operating and setting up traditional cutters and folders in bindery.  Enter data into computer system and understand data.  Perform equipment start-up, shut-down and preventive maintenance.  Sample and monitor product quality coming off the system, making modifications as needed.  Troubleshoot finishing line performance and quality problems, correcting them and stabilizing performance as they occur.  Replenish materials, maintains production, efficiency and quality records related to the operation.  Continuous production operation, requiring an understanding of work methods and procedures as well as various binding machines.  Skills, Experience and Qualifications :    Effective process management skills in manufacturing / production in a finishing / bindery department.
• Mechanical skills to do basic machine troubleshooting.
• Excellent communication skills (written and spoken) High School Diploma or GED required  Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
• Ability to document regular activities and e-mail correspondence.  Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.  Aptitude for accuracy and a meticulous eye for detail.
