Seeking a part time Registered Nurse (RN) to conduct both phone and in-person visits North of the cities and in Minneapolis.

About the position

The RN responsibilities include but not limited to; monitoring, recording, and supervising the personal care services performed by the personal care assistants (PCAs) to their respective clients.

The RN does this through regular visits made to the client's home (or via phone during pandemic) in a timely manner according to DHS standards.

The visits include client care plan development, monitoring, and training of the PCAs based on the care plan. Supervision of PCA services also includes evaluating PCAs, once trained, as to whether they can perform the client's cares properly and are able to communicate and document changes in the client's condition.

The RN may also spend time with the client helping them maintain their services through appeals and / or submitting documentation to their county of residence or to the Department of Human Services.

Performing these tasks according to the Department of Human Services' guidelines will ensure recipients of PCA services are receiving services appropriately and to their expectations.

Salary

$42 / hour

Caseload

20-30 clients with coverage for training, adding new services, openings + annual visits.

Job Requirements

• The RN must be able to submit documentation in a timely manner;
• Ability to work with little direct supervision and make appropriate judgments
• Demonstrate dependability, tact, and ability to follow orders
• Be free of dependency on mood altering chemicals including alcohol
• Ability to communicate effectively with the client and AHH, Inc. staff, respond appropriately to client needs, and report changes in the client's condition to the AHH, Inc.
• Ability to pass a MN Department of Human Services background check
• Ability to join a once-a-month nurse team meeting

Training

• The RNs must be licensed with the Minnesota Board of Nursing and maintain an active status. Proof of active nursing status must be provided to AHH, Inc.
• The RNs will receive on the job training conducted by RN / QP Manager and by AHH, Inc. office staff. RN must also attend a Department of Human Services' training workshop within the first 90 days of employment.
