We are seeking a dynamic and compassionate Mental Health Division Director for our new location in Santa Cruz.

  • This position will require on-site presence 2-3 days per week in Santa Cruz for the opening of the facility for the first 1-3 months, with the remainder of time working in Turlock. It will include oversight of evening and weekend coverage schedules as needed. Ultimately, after the new location is up and running, this role will require about 75% coverage in Turlock and 25% coverage in Santa Cruz.
  • Responsibilities :

  • Program Leadership & Development - leading the daily operations of the Crisis Stabilization Unit and Children's Crisis Psychiatric Program, Serving as leadership liaison with county, state and community partners to advocate for align services within regulatory and funding requirements, develop and implement program models to meet the acute youth psychiatric needs.
  • Site Operations & Compliance - Ensure compliance with all licensing, funding and agency policy requirements, Oversee incident reporting, grievance resolution and risk management, Manage staff performance, hiring and training
  • Fiscal Oversight & Planning - Manage budgeting and financial planning, Oversee grant applications, Continuous Quality Improvement
  • Staff Development & Collaboration - Provide leadership, coaching and professional development opportunities for program directors and staff, Facilitate Collaboration between divisions to ensure integrated care approaches, Coordinate cross-program training initiatives, Travel as needed to support staff, build community partnerships and represent our organization at key events and meetings.
  • Qualifications :

  • Master's degree in Psychology, Social Work, or a related field.
  • Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) or licensed Psychologist.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a leadership role equivalent to a Director managing site operations and team leadership
  • Valid California driver's license with a clean driving record
  • Fingerprint / DOJ clearance, Child Abuse Index, TB / Health clearance
  • Experience launching or managing a 24 / 7 youth crisis or residential care setting is required
  • Familiarity with Medi-Cal billing, DHCS regulations and CCL requirements
  • Experience managing multi-disciplinary teams with working with public health / funder contracts is highly preferred
