Strategic Customer Development Manager, Northern CA - Business Cards & Payments
Capital One, a high-tech company and nationally recognized brand, is seeking a Strategic Customer Development Manager for the Northern CA territory. This role focuses on developing market leading products that combine simplicity and human centered design with the rich functionality expected by small business and commercial entities. The successful candidate will deepen the relationship with customers, look for ways to increase value by growing spend, and partner with key executives and AP managers to create long term, meaningful relationships.
Responsibilities include managing a portfolio of clients with a focus on retention, growth, and risk management; analyzing the company's total business spend to identify additional opportunities; offering ongoing vendor match and spend enablement services; learning about the client and the specific industry vertical; becoming a trusted advisor; resolving issues and providing solutions; monitoring portfolio metrics; partnering across the value chain; and seeking new business referrals.
Competencies required include the ability to build relationships and influence at a wide range of levels, strong verbal and written communication skills, problem solving, strategic mindset, insight and consultative selling techniques, project management, and interpersonal influence.
Basic qualifications include at least 5 years of experience in a business client facing role. Preferred qualifications include a bachelor's degree or military experience, at least 7 years of experience in a business client facing role, at least 2 years of experience supporting business credit card products, and 1+ years of experience using Salesforce.com, Microsoft Office, and Google Applications.

The minimum and maximum full-time annual salaries for this role are $132,800 - $151,600 for remote employees, regardless of location. This role is also eligible to earn performance based incentive compensation.
