Inventory Manager

The primary purpose of the Inventory Manager is to maintain inventory accuracy and monitor internal controls related to inventory.

Essential duties and responsibilities include :

• Design, develop and maintain internal control systems to minimize inventory variances.
• Review the results of daily cycle counts with the Controller and Warehouse Management to ensure a proper reconciliation.
• Act as a resource related to researching inventory variances.
• Maintain and meet expectations of inventory variances within the required monthly budget.
• Ensure daily inventory cycle counts are performed and all significant variances are investigated and resolved.
• Manage the physical inventory process which includes staffing, organizing the counting process, and researching variances identified.
• Advise purchasing manager of any excessive inventory positions.
• Cross-train warehouse management on cycle counts to ensure adequate coverage in your absence and for physical inventories.
• Maintain records of inventory adjustments as required by company policy.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
• Obey all federal, state and local laws.
